Violinist Leslie Ting invites you into an intimate performance exploring parallel relationships to her instrument, therapy, and the audience. She will try to play the perfect concert for you, but knows it’s not possible. What emerges instead is something more honest. Based on interview research and lived experiences of talk therapy, hypnotherapy, dreamwork, reiki, sandplay therapy, and somatics, What Brings You In is an exploration of when and where our truest selves emerge. Featuring 5 experimental new music compositions by Rose Bolton, Germaine Liu, Julia Mermelstein, Linda Catlin Smith and Leslie Ting. In this boundary-blurring experience, your listening is the transformative act.
