It is deep with sadness that the family announces the passing of longtime Prairie Associate Composer and friend Dr. Monte Keen Pishny-Floyd at the age of 84, on October 15, 2025 in Saskatoon.
Monte was born into a family of musicians, with roots in early Vaudeville dating back to the late 1900s. In addition to playing trombone and piano, he was a prolific composer, writing his first work at the age of 3.
He will be lovingly remembered by his four daughters.
