Own the Stage: Mental Skills for Audition Excellence

This panel discussion will explore mental strategies and approaches specific to both university and professional auditions. Panelists will also discuss audition processes in music and acting, as well as potential changes that result after the audition. Our panelists consist of expert practitioners and performers who will share various perspectives related to auditions: mental skills consultant, jury evaluation, and of course – the performer.
Camille Charbonneau is a mental performance consultant with extensive experience working with both student and professional musicians, including students from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music. Carolyn Christie is the former Second Flute Chair of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and is currently on faculty at the University of Ottawa. Soprano and actress Meher Pavri has performed in a number of productions including West Side Story (Maria) and the Canadian premiere of Mahabharata. Lisa Chisholm is a Juilliard-trained bassoonist who is a member of the Canadian Opera Company orchestra. Joanna Latala is a professional cellist and graduate of the University of Gothenburg’s orchestral performance program.

Admission is free, but registration is required. Registration will be available until February 25th.
