Schnee: A Window into Winter
Saturday, February 8, 2025
St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue, Snell Hall
65 Church St
Toronto, ON
M5C 2E9

Experience Hans Abrahamsen’s 21st-century masterpiece, Schnee (or ‘Snow’) performed beside windows overlooking Toronto’s tranquil winter landscape. This 50-minute work draws listeners into Abrahamsen’s crystalline sound world, where the unique beauty of snow is reflected in both serene and explosive musical textures.

Complementing Schnee, the evening will feature world premieres by internationally celebrated composer Linda Catlin Smith, as well as Black Ice, a brand new composition by NMC’s Composer-in-Residence, Rashaan Allwood.
