“When in 2016 the Edmonton Metropolitan Chorus made their Carnegie Hall debut, the main work that they took with them was Nou Goth Sonne Under Wode, an affecting Easter choral piece by the Canadian choral composer Allan Bevan.

EdMetro (as they are usually known) is a community choir that was started in 2005 by David Garber with 36 members, and now has over 110. For its concert at the Winspear Centre on Monday it built on that Carnegie Hall success, not only commissioning a brand-new Bevan work, but devoting its whole program to Bevan’s music…”
