On Wednesday, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra was thrilled to announce their 88th Season.

For the SSO’s 88th season, they have set out to define what it means to have a great night out in Saskatoon. Their thrilling programming brings you to the edge of your seat and reminds you of the exeptionally moving experience that is live music. Each Masters Series concert features a guest artist debut, and their Baroque Series highlights the exceptional talents of SSO musicians. There’s also a mini-festival all season long to enhance the SSO experience. There are lots of special surprises in store as well – two piano recitals, a co-production with Saskatoon Opera, and a recital with a world renowned cellist who is the son of Saskatchewan’s own Edith Wiens.

The SSO is also working to commission new works for their orchestra. As one of the greatest champions of new music, the SSO aims to be an active artistic partner in the creation of new works. Through their Share in the Future campaign, you can support the transformative growth of the SSO. Their goal is to raise $100,000 by May 31st, 2018.
